Start by opening an image of a wreath. |

Duplicate the layer. Press Ctrl+U to open hue/saturation window. Apply settings as shown. |

| Change the layer mode to "Overlay". |

| Create a new layer and fill it with black color. From "Filter" menu select "Render>>Lens Flare ". Apply settings as shown. |

| Press Ctrl+U to open hue/saturation window. Apply settings as shown. This will change the light color. |

| Change the layer mode to "Linear Dodge". Select and move the layer to place the light appropriately. |

| Similarly create more lights with different sizes and colors. |

| Open animation window. For the first frame hide most of the lights except one or two. |

| Duplicate frame. Unhide other light layers and hide previous ones. The trick is to be random. No strict formula for hiding or unhiding the light layers. |

| Keep duplicating frames and hiding/unhiding light layers. |

| Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S to save an optimized animated GIF. |
