Design By Humans - T-Shirts Reviewed
Source hongkiat »
I’m a frequent online buyer and been enjoying buying Tees on the Internet because that’s probably the only way I’m rest assured the design will never duplicate whenever I’m walking on the streets. Few weeks ago I was recommended by friend to check out an online T-shirt store - Design By Humans and I gotta say these folks got a great collection. I spend hours browsing through these nice designs and settled with 7 pieces of t-shirts.

Breathtaking Typographic Posters
Source smashingmagazine »
This post showcases over 50 breathtaking typographic posters designed by artists across the globe. We feature Oriental, Iranian, Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese and Russian typographic posters as well as a number of further references. This isn’t a “best of”, there is no ranking and the collection isn’t supposed to be complete; it’s rather subjective and quite random. All screenshots are clickable; however, links not always lead directly to the corresponding image (e.g. it’s impossible in Flash-based sites) — sometimes you’ll need to search for it.

Inspiration: Machine56
Source resourcepile »
Another new type of post here at Resource Pile, we’ll see how it goes. Anyway, without further a-do, I present to you the amazing vector work of vector artist Machine56. Unfortunately, it seems he’s away at the moment, and is not updating/responding to interview requests. However, from what I’ve learnt, most of the pieces are created from scratch in CorelDraw. No sketches, no “plan”, no photoshop (!), just CorelDraw.

Talking Typography Part 1 : Afterthought Typography, Blogs and Websites
Source arbent »
Afterthought typography occurs when the designer lays out the elements of their design, crafts it with their precision and skillful manner, and after completely putting the pieces together, decides that text is needed and tosses it in. Seemingly as an afterthought. This can serve to disrupt the flow and harmony of the entire piece and even distract from the original idea, rather than assist it. Instead take time to include the text into the project from the beginning. Manipulate the layout to find the best, least obtrusive, location for the type to be placed. Carefully select, or create, a font that blends nicely into the work, while carrying the attitude intended from the whole design. Matching the tone with the type is key, don’t miss this mark and inadvertently end up contradicting the feel of the whole piece with one element.

Get web design ideas & inspiration from other designs - Brown
Source designshard »
The aim of this post is to gain design inspiration and ideas from what others have already done, some times its best not to reinvent the wheel and see what others are doing to make there designs work. Sometimes you can take an idea such as how the navigation looks or how the page has been separated in to different sections and build on this to produce your own variation or new concept. I’ve managed to compile various websites that look particularly interesting and have certain design elements to get designers thinking about what they could include in there next design.

Amazing Absolut Vodka Inspiration
Source abduzeedo »
Design lovers everywhere gotta love Absolut. It is an amazing brand that besides the drink itself, makes people enjoy really well done bottles and advertising designs. Making a little research about it, it came up that Absolut asked well-known Brazilian artist to come up with custom layouts. From famous 80's names like Daniel Senise to total "new" ones like Adhemas Batista and Guilherme Marconi. The exposition follows the post. Besides that, I absolutely recommend a visit to the Absolut site, where you'll get an inspiration overload. If you really enjoy good taste motion graphics, there's a section full of it. Well... I think this is all you'll get of Absolut today. Just today, 'cause I'm pretty sure we can't get enough of it. Enjoy!

Illustration Artists Showcase and Inspiration
Source designshard »
I have a great interest in illustration and I am always looking for inspiration and new ideas and techniques that I could try and integrate in to my designs, looking at some of these illustrations you can see what makes them, whether it be blurring shapes, adding a light source or using photos in your illustrations it all has an effect on the final piece. This collection is mixture of more traditional illustration to photography and illustration, when I look at illustrations like this I always think about how there made, such as paint splatters did the designer take a can of spray scan it in and manipulate it, stuff like that can add a whole new dimension to the illustration.
